He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1981. He completed his specialty training at Uludağ University in 1990 and then worked at Private Konur Hospital for 6 years.
He was appointed to the SSK Çekirge Regional Hospital in 1996 and served as the Chief Physician of the Regional Hospital between 1998 and 2002.
After his retirement, he worked as a specialist in private hospitals in Bursa for 5 years. He has been working as a Neurosurgeon Specialist at Bursa Private Jimer Hospital since 2014. He is married and has two children.
